If you don't believe me yet, hold on. Are you ready for this? If you are a thrifty shopper like me, you want to get the most bang for your buck. Target's clothes are normally priced to sell, but their sales are AH-MAZ-ING! Every week, Target marks down items from different departments on specific days. Here is the markdown schedule:
Monday- Children's Clothing, Baby Items, Electronics, Office Supplies, Stationary
Tuesday- Home Décor, Women's Clothing, Domestic Items
Wednesday- Food, Health and Beauty, Men's Clothing, Toys, Garden Items
Thursday- Houseware, Lingerie, Sporting Goods, Shoes, Luggage
Friday- Cosmetics, Jewelry, Hardware, Automotive, Home Improvement
Yes, you read correctly! Tons of items you need are marked down each week according to this schedule! The next hugely important piece of information is...drum roll please....if the price on the red clearance tag ends in an 8, the item will be marked down again! If the price ends in a 4, it's the lowest price it will ever be!
There are several clearance racks you should know about: 70% off, 50% off, and 30% off of the original price. As items are marked down more and more, they may travel to a different sale rack.
Has Target won you over yet? I hope there are new Target fans among you! Just in case you are still a little unsure, there's more! Yes, you read right, MORE WAYS TO SAVE!
Target has an app called Cartwheel. You will want to download it on your device ASAP! On the Cartwheel app, Target shows all of their additional savings on various items throughout the store! You can browse the offers and save them onto your account. When you get to the checkout, you simply show the cashier your coupon, they scan the barcode, and presto! Instant savings.
Last but not least, Target also sends coupons via text message to customers who sign up to receive them! Simply go to http://m.target.com/sms/coupon-alrts/form to sign up for texts! When you register, Target will text you when new coupons are available. You can view them and plan your shopping trip. When you get to the register, tell the cashier you have coupons on your phone. They will scan the barcode, and you will watch the prices come down on the screen! Easy peasy! (That's when my third graders would say, "Lemon squeezy.")
I hope you use these tips to SAVE, SAVE, SAVE on your next trip to Target! :)
Fashionably Yours,
The Thrifty Stylista
