I got this adorable tribal printed skirt (which is so "in" right now) for $10.48. It was originally $15, and they only have one left in my size! That's how you know it's meant to be, right?! :) I wish I could have waited until the price dropped some more, but I was scared it would be gone! #shoppergirlprobz
Pair a skirt like this with a simple tank tucked in, and you're ready to go! You could wear it with pumps for a more dressy look or flats/sandals to make it casual. Add a denim jacket or a cardigan during the fall and rock it with boots and tights! Don't forget to add a statement necklace! (More about those in days to come!)
The skirt hits right above my knee, and it fits loosely, so I can wear it to church, to teach in, or to hang out with friends! I try to look for versatile pieces that can be paired with different tops, jewelry, and shoes on various occasions. Also, this skirt is made out of a thicker cotton material, so it can be worn year round.
I looked up my mobile coupons (to get yours, refer to Target: a Fashionista Favorite!) to see f I had one I could use for clothes, and I was in luck! I had a $3 off coupon, but I had to spend $15 to be able to use it. I went back to the sale rack, and found a dress that I love! I had it in black already, and I got so many compliments on it! I decided to go ahead and splurge in order to get my discount. A girl's got to sacrifice sometimes in the name of fashion!
It also has lace inlays on the front straps and a strip of lace toward the bottom of the skirt.
I like wearing flats with bows on them and a black-and-white chunky necklace with this dress. Other accessory ideas would be to wear it with cowboy boots (too cute!) or wedges for an absolutely amazing summer look!
I know some of you may be asking, "What if it isn't summer, and I want to wear a dress like this?" Perfect! I've got you covered! Simply add a long sleeved black cardi, leggings, and riding boots for a classy, sophisticated look! You could even add a belt if you are a belt lover! If it is really cold outside, you could wear fleece lined leggings and a heavy jacket over your cardigan. Layering is key!
This pretty dress hits right above the knee, so I could also wear it year round! It fits my test because I can wear it to school, church, or for everyday wear.
Shopping tip: Buy pieces you can wear all year, instead of splurging on clothing specific to one season. You can always add jackets, leggings, scarves, etc. to sleeveless and short sleeved pieces to get you through the winter!
Also, make sure you can wear the pieces to multiple places you go! Start asking yourself: Could I wear this to work? Church? Out to eat? You will save a lot of money by asking yourself questions before buying! Make it a mental activity, not an impulsive one!
Alright, fashionistas! It's time to hit the sale racks!
